cody stokes - writer/director
Cody Stokes is an award winning writer and director. His interdisciplinary background, encompassing the commercial, documentary and narrative worlds, gives Stokes a rare visual fluency that extends beyond American appeal, and has resulted in international distribution for his five short films as well as a Princess Grace Film Award. Working professionally as a commercial director has seen him at the helm of projects for brands such as BMW, Toyota, Microsoft, Yahoo!, AMEX, and NIKE. His work in the indie film world as been written about in Variety, The New Yorker, and The New York Times.
Daniel gartner - producer
Gartner is a commercial and film producer with strong roots on both coasts and the Midwest. As a Producer, his first film “American Streetballers” won the Jury award at the Hollywood Black Film Festival, and received wide release on BET network and the emerging internet market. The microbudget success “Autumn Wanderer” received the emerging filmmaker award at the Hollywood Film festival. Together, he and Director Cody Stokes have created commercials for clients including Toyota, BMW, Microsoft, and American Express.
David Johnson - Exec Producer
An award-winning Executive Producer, David Johnson began his career producing television commercials and quickly transitioned to feature film production joining Outlaw Productions (Sex, Lies & Videotape; Training Day,) as a feature film development executive and then Mike Binder's Sunlight Productions (Crossing the Bridge, Indian Summer) as Director of Production. At Sunlight, David co-produced the films “Londinium” starring Colin Firth, Mariel Hemingway, and Mike Binder, and "The Search for John Gissing" starring Janeane Garofalo, Mike Binder and Alan Rickman. David then joined Coolfire Studios and after two years was named President of the company. His efforts have evolved Coolfire Studios into the prolific multi-dimensional production company that it is today.
Barry Albrecht - Exec Producer
Barry Albrecht is a partner with Bodley Group, a seed investment company based in St. Louis. Bodley Group has equity in over forty companies and also operates two businesses in St. Louis. At Bodley, Barry serves on the investment review committee. Before joining Bodley, he taught high school English for seven years. This is Barry’s first foray into filmmaking.
